Each family member should stay up to date on infection control procedures. It is up to each family member to search for additional information and stay up to date on all aspects of infection control. You should consult with an expert before using the information in these videos, they are just intended as basic information.           

This by no means is a complete guide in helping your loved ones at LTC facilities or during their visits at home. Use search engines and YouTube to educate yourself on additional matters. When visiting your loved ones at a facility it is mandatory that you ask the facility staff what you are allowed to do on your own. 

When at home always have someone assisting you. Safety is of utmost importance. IN MANY OF THESE PROCEDURES, ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT THINGS TO BE CONCERNED ABOUT IS THE RESIDENT FALLING OUT OF THE BED DURING THE PROCEDURE.
